The Fortress Cities

Harom’s capital city was Highspire, which was encompassed by the Nullfoot Mountain Range on all sides. Traversing the mountains—at least with siege equipment—was impossible, making a siege against the capital nigh impossible.

The only way to successfully mount an assault against Highspire was to siege and subsequently pass through both Stone Blige Pass and Megalgait.

Knights of Harom

Harom was championed by three powerful legions of knights. The Three Tables served Harom and its king against rival nations and other threats that rose to power.

History

Founding

Harom’s founding was so ancient that details have been lost to time. Scholars have postulated Harom’s founding coincided with the establishment of other ancient kingdoms like Cuprum, Sandar, Nungul, and the Eastern Kingdoms.

War of the Passing Ships

In 501 PBD, the kingdom of Mah Mur launched an invasion against Harom. While their initial attack successfully allowed the forces of Mah Mur to occupy large coastal stretches of Harom, the Haromede knights quickly pushed them out of their lands. For the next fives years, Mah Mur ships attempted to cross the Cyclopean Ocean in an attempt to seize the Haromede beachhead once again—and time and time again the Haromede fleets sunk their ships.

In the fifth year of the war, Mah Mur halted their invasion after running out of lumber to build warships.
