Etain Lyle
Etain was unfortunate enough to lose her parents, her older sister, and baby brother at a young age due to an ectoplasm infestation that manifested unknowingly in the family home’s attic. It was in the afternoon that the roof collapsed, and a torrential downpour of possessed rats fell upon the family. Etain’s mother told her to run to Corgath and alert the Ghosthunters there that there was a severe infestation, staying behind to try and help the rest of the family escape. When Etain returned with an entourage of Ghosthunters, it was too late. Etain watched as the Ghosthunters had no choice but to put down the possessed bodies of her once-family.

With nowhere else to go, Etain begged the Ghosthunters to allow her to join them. She was determined to fight these monsters for the rest of her life in an attempt to avenge the lives of her family. One of the Ghosthunter captains, an older man named Enrickard Elzon, took pity on the young girl and agreed to raise her as a daughter. He trained her to become a Ghosthunter--she accompanied him on all of his major hunts, picking up tips and tricks, watching carnage unfold as they together experienced the horrors such parasites could inflict.
Etain was soon enough an experienced Ghosthunter with a steel mind--after witnessing the death of her family and a plethora of heinous acts by the creatures, she was prepared to go out and face the ectoplasms by herself. Elzon had been successful, and retired--but he continued to support his adopted daughter’s career.
Etain quickly became well-regarded as a Ghosthunter, charging higher and higher prices. This was of course justified by her willingness to go after the deadliest, largest, foulest possessed organisms she could find. Her legacy as a Ghosthunter was guaranteed to live on--until she met the Archangel's Heroes.
They had just arrived in Corgath’s outskirts when they were jumped by a pack of possessed moss lycans. The group had managed to fend off one of the 5 monsters with great difficulty when Etain, who had been tracking the pack for a day, caught up and slew the survivors with ease. As the heroes breathed a sigh of relief, they recognized Etain as one of those destined to join them. Etain was extremely skeptical at first, and agreed to join them… however, at first she only joined since she found Ladodon attractive. Over time, Etain came to realize that she could make her long gone family even prouder by fighting for more than just the extermination of blue blobs--she could fight to protect all of Legere.

Appearance #
Etain, like most Corgathians, had skin on the paler side. Her nearly black brown hair was almost always tied into a ponytail. Early in her career, she opted to cut her hair short instead.
Notable Skills #
Etain was athletic and acrobatic, and had extremely quick reflexes. She wasn't the worlds greatest marksman, but her skill with her crossbow was noteworthy. She had a keen mind for knowledge of all manner of Legerian wildlife--especially ectoplasms.
Equipment #
Etain always carried Ghoststone equipment with her, even when fighting against ectoplasms became a thing of her past. Her favoured kit included a pair of ghoststone daggers given to her by Captain Elzon, a crossbow (typically accompanied by ghoststone-tipped bolts), and a lightweight set of armour reinforced with ghoststone spiked rivets.
Personality #
Etain was shy when it came to stepping outside her field of expertise. She wasn’t a combatant--she was just a Ghosthunter. In her own words, a "glorified, well-paid exterminator". She was not confident in her abilities outside of what she grew up doing, and it led to her second guessing her potential all the time. All that being said, Etain was very intelligent and often had great strategies and plans for scenarios that would usually lie outside her realm of specialization--she just needed someone to encourage her.
Etain enjoyed fresh water fishing in her spare time, and her favourite snack was collo candy. She had often spent a good portion of her coin on a bag or 2 of the delicacies whenever she completed a job.
Vices & Personality flaws #
Etain was far less experienced with fighting non-ectoplasm opponents (especially other sapients, like humans) and as such, her fighting technique was sloppier than the other Archangel’s Heroes.
