Ultimate Evil
The Ultimate Evil, also known as the Evil One, was the self-proclaimed King of Demons and the font of evil. He was once one of the Archangels, but fell from his station after declaring himself strong enough to stand without the power of the King of Angels at his back.
The Ultimate Evil often walked Legere secretly in the form of Al'Khasm, a charismatic, handsome, kindly man with Jinifarian features. It was in this form that he often meddled in the affairs of mortals, planting the seeds of the biggest of Legere's problems.
The Righteous Order dictated the Ultimate Evil's name as Lucifer in their own texts chronicling what knowledge they had been given by the Angels.
Origin #
The Archangel Samael was once the chief of all Angels, parading the divine legions throughout Heaven in a glorious display of the King's magnificence. Peace was throughout all of Creation, and there was no need for the legions to go to war.
However, Samael grew proud, and soon had fooled himself into believing that he was in fact powerful enough to stand alone. He saw the Angel's reliance on the power of the Creator as a weakness. By some means, Samael developed a fear of losing his power should the King of Angels will it. To combat this, Samael developed a new source of power--something that he called Evil. Samael's theorization surmised that the power of Evil would be a potent source of energy that was inherently negative to the divine light of Heaven--the Profane. Any of the Angels could cast off their ties to their King and replace their inner flame with the fires of the Profane. Evil was a power of independence and self-sufficiency.
On the day of Samael's declaration of rebellion, he cast off his armour and threw down his weapons--discarding from his person every gift that had been given to him by his King. He raised his hands and cursed the name of the King, and in that moment a flash of magenta light crackled throughout Heaven. Samael gleefully demonstrated his newfound power, and his closest followers all followed suit. Slowly, more Angels joined the movement as they saw the supposed merit of the power of Evil.
The Archangel Michael quickly swooped in to investigate the disturbance, and when he questioned Samael, Michael was offered the opportunity to join his fellow Archangel. When Michael refused to turn away from his Creator, a fight between him and Xadu erupted. Very quickly, Heaven found itself embroiled in war.
The war was short-lived however, as Samael and his fallen angels quickly found themselves outmatched by the heavenly fire wielded by the seraphim. Not willing to repent for their wickedness, Samael departed from Heaven to flee destruction, with the legions of Angels in tow.
In his spite, hatred, and fear of his inevitable defeat, Samael sought to destroy as much of Creation as he could before being brought to justice. His new legion of shedim worked to tear apart lower dimensions while compromising the integrity of higher dimensions. For his sins, Samael's name was scoured from Heaven, and he began to be referred to by alternative names and titles.
Creations #
Evil #
The very essence of Evil, also called the profane, was pioneered by the Ultimate Evil, and was introduced throughout Creation at the moment of his villainous ascension. Evil itself was an antithetical thing to all that the Creator deemed was "good".
Evil itself spread throughout Creation in the moment of the Evil One's rebellion, corrupting every world by giving all mortalkind the option to forsake what was good and choose the path of darkness. This event was known as The Fall.
Demonium #
The Ultimate Evil created Demonium as a powerful material to arm his followers with.
Constructs #
With the Angels outnumbering the Demons to such an absurd extent, the shedim legion was supplemented with soulless constructs known as Imps and Nephilim.
The Pentalasers #
The Evil One's most dastardly creations were The Pentalaser superweapons, which were enormous directed energy weapons wrought from demonium. They were created for the purpose of obliterating higher dimensions.
Activity in Mortal Realms #
For most of his time as the head of the Shedim Legion, the Evil One fled from the battlefield, opting to send his subordinates into battle in his stead. Truth be told, the Ultimate Evil was cowardly and fearful of being captured by the Angels and being brought before the King.
In most worlds, the Ultimate Evil worked behind the scenes to destabilize the world, disguising himself as a mortal while subtly influencing society and people. He took on the persona of Al'Khasm during his more clandestine activities on Legere following the Demon Wars.
Al'Khasm #
Al'Khasm appeared as a handsome, late 20s Jinifarian man. His signature wear was a cape of black feathers. He was often adorned with silver jewelry that assured others of his wealthiness (and therefore supposed reputability). Al'Khasm usually introduced himself as a seer, claiming that he had the gift of prophecy. By tapping into his supernatural power, Al'Khasm could easily cause his supposed prognostications to come to fruition, garnering the trust of whoever he was trying to convince.
List of Al'Khasm's Major Influences

- The deceit of Arbam into starting the Ancient Wars
- The overthrowing of the Ganpoumi Fi through the Eastern Civil War at the hand of the Songkram Empire
- The planting of Belial ben Hasid's obsessions
