Akwasarr

A light blue coloured, long serpent native to the Wattamp Ocean. Akwasarrs were sleek, covered in shark-like scales that allowed it to travel at speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour. They had mouths filled with pointed, fish hook-like teeth which aided in their hunting of medium sized fish. Three gill slits lined the sides of an akwasarr’s head. A ridge of rubbery spines flowed down the dorsal and ventral sides of the sagittal plane, not unlike the spines of a Hydrisikk. While these could have signified a relation between the two species, akwasarrs' spines did not possess the same sensory functionality that a hydrisikk’s did.

An adult akwasarr could stretch up to 30 meters long, although the largest akwasarr caught was over 50 meters long. The remains of this specimen was preserved in a museum in Destral.

Akwasarrs had the unique ability to channel magical energy to project laser-like rays from their eyes. With 3 pairs of eyes (each of which could move independently), the akwasarr could saturate a wide area around itself with lasers. This was a taxing endeavor, and an akwasarr would need to hibernate for 24 hours after using this capacity.

Cultural Impact #

Akwasarrs were usually too far out in the ocean to be encountered regularly--however, the rare occasions of catching one were largely celebrated by crews, since many pirates and other seamen enjoyed fashioning intimidating jewelry out of akwasarr teeth. Akkwasarr teeth could often fetch a high price in Icthy’s Rest or Sharkville.

Akwasarrs were a revered creature within the Clergy of the Great Serpents.
