Silashophant

A small, furry mammoth-like animal often kept as a domestic pet by people who lived in the Sangmyung Valley. It was less common, but not impossible to find pet silashofants outside of The Eastern Provinces.

Silashofants were very smart and strong for their size. Adult silashophants were typically as tall as the average human's waist. They made great pets due to their loyalty and ability to aid a family with chores such as carrying water or other load-bearing labour.

The typical silashofant appearance was brown fur with black stripes that started off bold and thick at the animal’s back, fading out as they travel down the sides. They had a stubby trunk that ended with a short tusk that it could use for digging. Silashofants instinctively buried and unearthed all kinds of things when not properly trained or occupied with a task. Silashofants also had large floppy ears, thick legs, and wide feet. Their thin, short tails helped keep insects at bay.

Silashofants are found in the wild across the Eastern Provinces. They were much more common towards the center of the basin. Most wild silashofants avoided exposing themselves to the wide, flatter, and more exposed grasslands closer to the Crossroads Lake where they would become easier targets for predators like Phayu and yellow matriarchs.
