Frostoquad

A small lizard with three tails and a bizarre head-crest. Frostoquads utilized magic to regulate their internal temperature, allowing them to be one of the only reptiles occupying the freezing Phayu Wing Mountains and The Frigid Tundra. Because of their magic-regulating system, they could not handle warmer climates easily. Explorers that attempted to transport frostoquads to warmer regions in the south resulted in the animals exploding into a mess of icy bone shards and powdery, bloody snow.

Frostoquads had three tails, each one spittling into 3 tips. The lizards used their tails to communicate to one another by flexing muscles, causing each tip to twitch in certain ways in a form of sign language. The frostoquad also possessed a frill made of 3 bony plates, likely used to appear larger from the front and compete for mates.

Frostoquads were predators, hunting snow fleas and other insects hiding in the ice and snow. They were often hunted by stoffs, so they used their pale bluish grey colouring for camouflage. They often resembled a tiny rock coated in snow.
