Sluggdon

Large, four-horned mollusks that devoured long grasses as they moved. Native to the Sangmyung Valley, sluggdon livestock was a common sight on farms within The Eastern Provinces. They were gentle, giant, docile creatures that lazily grazed on food--pausing only to sleep or vomit out excrement[^1]. Male sluggdons were easily recognized by their huge curved horns protruding from their heads, while females possessed significantly smaller ones. Both sexes also had a row of bony spines along their dorsal surface. Sluggdon were supremely weak in terms of physicality, relegating these horns to purposes of display. With no skeleton to support these protrusions, horns could be ripped off easily with little force. Sluggdon also bore a pair of bulbous, pupilless eyes that Isutans commonly referred to as "goofy".

Sluggdon steaks were a staple food across Legere's east. Exceptionally high in protein, sluggdon flesh proved to be a great aspect of Isutan cuisine. The sliminess of the meat did inhibit the food's proliferation outside of Isutan lands, despite attempts to turn sluggdons into exported goods.
