Moonbeast
An castle-sized, pale monster that was resilient enough to bask in the debilitating radiation of the Nether Fountain. Cuprum Nomads claimed that the moonbeast came from another world.
Anatomy #
The moonbeast had a twin-segmented torso, two highly flexible limbs, and a head almost as large as its torso. The moonbeast was covered in a light grey, translucent exoskeleton. Its flesh was also transparent, allowing people to peer into the interior of the creature and see its black endoskeleton. Its internal organs glowed with a sickly yellow light, caused by the flow of ugrite through its innards.
Each limb had two massive talons which the moonbeast used to drag its body across the ground.
The moonbeast’s head resembled that of a reptile’s skull, with a myriad of pupiless yellow eyes. Its massive jaws had two rows of razor sharp teeth.
The top of the moonbeast’s head had 3 gnarled horns in a mohawk formation.
Roar #
The moonbeast was capable of generating 240 dB roars, devastating everything nearby. Doing so often resulted in the monster's internal bleeding, forcing it to retreat back into the depths of the The Nether Fountain for several days.
Sport Hunting & Anti-Magical Diet #
The moonbeast was truly a monster: a creature that killed indiscriminately for sport. It hunted, but never consumed what it took down.
The moonbeast did not require physical food. Instead, it absorbed anti-magical radiation from The Nether Fountain.
Legendary Entity #
The moonbeast rarely emerged from its home within the depths of The Nether Fountain. Its appearance was so uncommon that its existence was often called into question.
