Dead Sand Lectors

The Dead Sand Lectors were a group of devotees who followed Belial ben Hasid after seeing the breadth and depth of his knowledge. They believed that by serving and learning from him, they could achieve freedom from death.

Rejoice, child of Jinifar. Rejoice, for today thou hast been delivered unto the hand of Annansulakh the Death Handler, high Lector of War of his Eternalness.

When Belial transcended mortality through Necromancy and adopted the moniker of The Pharaoh, members of the Dead Sand Lectors shared, partially, in his power. One by one, the Pharaoh slew his followers before resurrecting them in more grotesque, bizarre forms that were more suited to serving him and his conquest of Jinifar. Some of the lectors were necromantically resurrected as massive spiders with limbs made of their own artificially extended bones. Others had additional limbs grafted onto them while more had additional false bones forged from copper implanted into their necks to give them a serpentine appearance. The Pharaoh's mastery over artifice combined with his necromantic skill to easily create whatever form he pleased for his undead followers.

Once undead, the lectors served the Pharaoh by commanding his armies as they conquered Jinifar and began to wage war with the surroundings areas.
