Kwailok
Elite guards directly under the Grand Lord of the Songkram, kwailok were trained to use the raujang spear with unparalleled mastery. They were handpicked by the Grand Lord and served as representatives of his will.
Kwailok shared the path of a standard Nakai, later joining the Grand Lord in the same way that another nakai may have been picked to join a grandmaster's silyuan. To differentiate themselves from other nakai, kwailok bore master crafted armour that was embellished with intricate engravings, rare furs, gold and other precious metals, beautiful gemstones, and other decorations.
Kwailok wore full-face Pisaka masks when on duty. These masks served to take away the individuality of a kwailok, reflecting that they were nothing more than vessels to spread and serve the will of the Grand Lord.
To further improve their effectiveness, kwailok underwent sanguimantic enhancement with the assistance of a profane court Mabosa. This allowed kwailok the ability to transfer their own blood to the Grand Lord, allowing them to stave off death itself at the expense of their own life--a payment that was considered trivial after their conditioning.
