Zanda
The Endalan zanda was an enormous slug likely related to the Isutan sluggdon. Zandas were larger organisms with a taste for small trees as opposed to grass. With this behaviour, zandas were often called “enteaters” by foreigners[^1].
Visually, zandas resembled sluggdons very closely, but lacked the spikes and horns that their smaller, eastern cousins had. They were incredibly slow, relying on their foul slime to deter predators. Their mucus smelled and tasted so much worse than sluggdons’ that it was basically impossible for anyone to eat its meat. Resultantly it was never domesticated as livestock.
Zandas also had a comically large bulge on the top of their head, which many Endalans joked about--Emdalan legends said that the zanda was the wisest, most intelligent creature in all of Legere.
