Sandarian
The language of Sandarian was used by the empire of Sandar. It was the ancestor of the Phovezilan language spoken by its successor nation, Phovezila.
Phonology #
Sandarian had a soft sound it its speech, with its vowels and consonants being slurred together in an almost lazy manner. Enemies of the empire and others who harboured prejudice against it often called Sandarian "drunkard's poetry".
Written Form #
The written form of Sandarian was in the shape of rigid square boxes. A single box contained other symbols within it to add meaning to a phrase; one box was equivalent to a single phrase. This allowed Sandarian to be an excessively concise language when wanted. However, because of how compact Sandarian writing was, it was able to convey quite specific details while only taking up a small amount of space on a page or tablet.
