Fungo
Mylembo language was completely foreign to outsiders, consisting of what sounded like incoherent mumbling and tongue flapping.
Written Fungo #
The written form of the Fungo language consisted of mushroom-shaped glyphs of varying shapes, orientations, and colours. Originally, Fungo-speaking Mylembo on Kel Isle would use certain types of mushrooms as stamps with which to write with. Over time, the mylembo began to discard the use of stamps for writing and simply began to draw the shapes of the glyphs with conventional writing implements.
Fungo was unique in the sense that colour was an integral part of the language's written form. Changing the colours of a glyph could have little or great impact on the meaning of the writing. This reliance on colour for the meaning of writing unfortunately meant that older writings that were exposed to bleaching by sunlight could lose the intricacy and nuance of the originals.
